1963 Chris Craft Conqueror
"Encore"
1963 42' Chris Craft Conqueror, hull #2 of 20 made, Encore is a tri-cabin classic yacht with wonderful cruising / live-aboard comfort. She has current 2007 Oregon registration tags and a completed Vessel Safety Inspection for 2006. Encore has sleeping accommodations for 6 (or more, if the kids bunk on the salon floor or bridge). Her roominess and many amenities make cruising a fun, comfortable adventure. Encore has recently undergone some extensive maintenance and restoration (Nov. '05), and is turn-key ready for your cruising pleasure.
With new paint on the hull, bottom paint (11/05), and the cabin (06/05), and deck varnish (06/05), Encore is shiny and beautiful. In November 05, her props were balanced, pitched and polished, she was fitted with new zincs, shaft stuffing box packing, engine & genset strainers cleaned, the swim platform was painted and remounted with new heavy-duty stainless steel brackets, her transom was sanded and varnished too! A current bottom survey is available.
Notice her under-water exhaust. She's pretty quiet for 550 horses.
Interior amenities make for comfortable cruising. Kick back, put your feet up, and enjoy the remote control stereo system, the digital Dolby 5.1, surround sound"boat theater." The salon's Flexsteel settee has a comfortable incliner, and hinged door storage underneath.
The Dickenson diesel fireplace, with a romantic view of flickering flames, will keep you warm on those cold evenings, and 110v baseboard heaters keep the boat warm any time while in a slip. In the summer heat, use the remote control air conditioning!
New carpet has been added throughout the boat in July of 2006. You can see it well in this picture of the dinette. The carpet is really a light grey color, and is not as blue as it appears in these photos.
There is also new flooring in the galley and in the ensuite head in the aft cabin. The flooring has a 10+ year guarantee against mildew.

The aft stateroom provides a king bed, private head with tile shower, dresser, hanging locker, full length mirrors, and plenty of storage cubbies.

Encore's galley has a new refrigerator, microwave, electric stove with oven, a large pantry, exhaust fan, and hot and cold running water. The dinette makes into a comfortable double bed with its new foam and upholstery. She has just had new galley and head flooring installed too (5/06)! New photos of the galley remodel will be coming soon.

Guests will sleep comfortably in the forepeak stateroom v-berth,with its own electric head. The bed is big enough to accommodate two adults.

On the bridge, you'll find new blue Sunbrella canvas, GPS, and room for seating for 6. The teak chairs and table pictured are negotiable in the purchase of Encore. On deck you'll find an electric windlass, with 300 feet of anchor chain, lines and fenders. There is a nice seat for sitting or sunbathing with a canvas cover.

At the stern, there's an 8' dinghy (capable of being fitted for sailing) on Weaver Davits. It is also set up for a small electric or gas motor. Oars are included. Notice that Encore has been berthed in covered moorage for most of her life. She was brought new to Portland, OR by rail, and has been in fresh water since.

Encore's power plants boast twin 431 c.u., fresh water cooled, Lincoln gas engines 275 hp. each; they run great, have excellent compression, an oil change system, new hoses, impellers and new port heat exchanger. These engines have been well maintained by the former-mechanic owner. There's a 6.5kw Kohler genset, a 1500w inverter, 6-6v house batteries, an Espar diesel furnace (needs motor), Halon fire system, and much more.

Encore's complete package, ready for cruising, is just $45,950. Contact Mark at blesses@pacifier.com, or call (360) 576-8111 for more information or to schedule an appointment to see Encore. You'll be glad you did.
