Mark was a ham even on the first day! . . . . . . Shakespeare . . . me thinks.

This is one of Mom's favorite photos. She refers to it as the farmer picture. Darin refers to it as the pioneer picture. He also says it reminds him of Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, just needs the coat over the shoulder and the suitcase beside him.

Darin took this photo of Mark with his grandmother, great grandmother and Mom in June of 1987 the day of Darin's high school graduation (the first with Darin's new camera). Mark is wearing his Stars Behind Bars tee-shirt. That spring, the March of Dimes had a fund-raiser in which prominent people around town were "arrested" on the "squeal" of their friends and business associates. Mark was arrested in his mom's office by a clown and two deputies and was taken away in a limousine with a ball and chain around his ankle to "jail." "Jail" was made of cases of Coca-Cola in a local car dealership where he was detained for two hours while he called friends, family and business associates for donations so he could get out of "jail." Mark had a great time, raised good donations and had all the Cola he could drink! After the fund-raiser, each "inmate" received a shirt with the names of all the "inmates." Always the good sport, Mark even forgave his "informant" mom (after a donation from her of course).

Mark was a junior but still was involved in the Senior Project Play and had a great time. Here we have Brian, Dan, Aaron and Mark.

Well....Marcus and Meghan, what are you up to? . . . . . . . . . (In drama class, one can never tell what plots they hatch.)

Time to get ready for the Dracula performance; here's the drama class waiting to get into the drama room. There's Marcus, front and center, taking it real easy!

Hey there Cowboy! . . . . . . . . .Quite a combination of props...a cowboy hat and a teacup (and that "Well now, Baby" look). Do you have a story for this, Mark?

Oh....those high school plays! Dracula was performed during Mark's junior year. Here, Arthur (aka Marcus) is "smoking" the stake that is intended to save the world from Dracula.
