I am slowly becoming an amateur entomologist and will be creating this page with a selection of trout bugs. Obviously, there are thousands of species in our streams and lakes around here, but I plan to include here a collection of the most common. My thinking is that if one can become fluent in the life and times of the most important ones, then we can leave the rest of the myriad of species to the guys writing their doctoral theses.

Come springtime, I will start collecting and photographing insects from SW Washington rivers. Please be sure to check back for some beautiful bugs!
