Associate Membership: is open to individuals aged 14-18. Associate members are sponsored by an existing Regular Member. Associate members must have permission of their parents to join. Prior to submitting a membership application, each prospective member must attend at least three (3) CCSAR meetings (held on the first Monday of each month). Associate members are typically placed in a "youth group" with an adult advisor who is also a member of the Board of Directors. Associate members have voting rights only within the youth group.
Regular Membership: is open to individuals over the age of 18. Regular members comprise the bulk of CCSAR. Within the Regular Membership category, there are three (3) subdivisions: Field, Support, and Novice. Field personnel are those individuals who have completed the training CCSAR deems necessary for a person to be self-sufficient in the field. Support personnel typically serve to support the field teams or CCSAR as a whole. Examples of support duties include: communicator in the Comm Van, logistics, advisors, camp cook, clerical work, computer support, etc. Novices are persons who recently joined and are not yet trained, OR personnel who have left the group and returned. Regular members have full voting rights on items placed before the membership at large.
All new members/returnees are in probationary status for one calendar year.
