These are the ships of the SDF in order of their development, with ships that descended from each other in order.
The Cruiser
Cohort-Class Cruiser
The Cohort was the original SDF warship and all-purpose vessel. It was designed with a modular internal layout that made it more
versatile but this was at the cost of any specific strength.
Cohort II-Class Cruiser
The Cohort II was based on the same hull as the Cohort with only minor external changes. It did away with the modular design
however, and focused on being a warship first and a science vessel second.
Cohort III-Class Cruiser
The Cohort III was a world apart from it's grandparent the Cohort Class. A straight warship it left the science duties to ships
like the Venture Class.
Shiva-Class Cruiser
The Shiva-Class was the next logical step from the Cohort. A smaller ship in terms of space it had the same mass but a lower
profile and more weaponry. It's science capabilities were even more restricted - Shiva's stayed with the fleet.
Eclipse-Class Cruiser
The Eclipse is the latest cruiser fielded by the SDF. With the latest re-emphasis on exploration and science the Eclipse was
fitted with a more expansive sensor system - roughly equal to that of the first Venture series. It is still a premier warship by
any standard however, with many new weapon systems from the Dreadnoughts.
The Dreadnought
FireBlossom-Class
The FireBlossom-Class was just what it looks like - a scaled up version of the Cohort. It was twice the size, had twice the
firepower, and twice the armor.
FireBlossom II-Class
The dreadnoughts were re-introduced after a long absence by the creation of the FireBlossom II Class. It was designed to be a
flagship and central combatant.
Ares-Class
The Ares-Class was in the same generation as the Shiva-Class, though it was only marginally better than the FireBlossom II. It had
less torpedo tubes but they had a better rate of fire.
Singularity-Class
The Singularity-Class is an upgraded and upgunned Ares-Class.
