Many clients choose to hire the operational services of West Coast Hovercraft Inc as an alternative to purchasing. By doing this, they can begin work immediately on their project without the wait of construction time. Some of the situations of ownership are also eliminated, such as having a trained operator and skilled maintenance personnel. Also, by hiring services, initial capital investment for a project is kept down.
The hovercraft is kept in top condition, ready to go before daybreak with a cheerful and competent operator. All necessary supplies for a days work with the hovercraft are on board, including required safety equipment. As well as the navigation and operation of the hovercraft, the operator will assist the client in their scientific or manual endeavors when not in attendance to the vessel. After a days work in the field, and after attendance to the craft, the operator can scale and input GPS data, if required, for the next days work.
The cost of wages for the Seal operator is $250/day which includes their per deim costs
The rent for the hovercraft is $100/day
Consumable fuels and oils will be an additional $35/ day.
Days are assumed to be 10 working hours.
Mobilization to and from the site of operations is charged @ 60 cents /mile.
Every 500 miles and fraction thereafter will be an additional $100 for per deim costs.
On site mobilization will be charged at the 60 cents per mile rate for that portion
exceeding 50 miles in any one day.
The hovercraft can be leased for $1050 per 7 day week without an operator with a $5000 deposit. Delivery mobilization charges apply. A $250 training charge applies to all who will be operating the hovercraft. A minimum of one week lease is required with $150 per day for each additional day while in the clients possession.
