Birth Control

Date: Thu, 1 Apr 1999 21:46:03 -0800 Subject: FEL-L: feline birth control

>>>I just finished reading about the feline birth control on the AZA Felid Tag web page, and you were right, using it can have too many side effects. Is there going to be anything safer available in the near future ?<<<

Hopefully, yes. Dr. Linda Munson at U.C. Davis and others are compiling info. If anyone spays a female wild cat, she is interested in the reproductive organs. We are spaying a tiger in a few days and sending it to her. George: Do you have the protocol or contact info for her studies from the 1998 TAG? Or Sherry (did you get it yet?).

Here is the information requested about the contraceptive pathology survey being conducted by Dr. Linda Munson and how to contribute to this important study. I ORC'd the text in from the 1998 Felid TAG report so you may find a few "scan-o's". : )
