To protect the buyer from such uncertainty, We offer a very good written quality guarantee for each of the cats placed into a new home. The guarantee is as follows, and is subject to change:

Seller/Buyer Contract

I. All cat(s)/kitten(s) are placed in indoor only homes. Under NO circumstance will the cat/kitten be allowed to roam freely outside without being protected by a safe enclosure.

II. Under NO circumstances will this cat/kitten be sold, leased or given to any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility, shelter, pound or adoption facility or disposed of in an inhumane manner.

III. If this cat/kitten is found to be neglected (not excluding gross grooming neglect) abused or mistreated, purchaser will surrender said cat/kitten to the Seller, unconditionally and the Buyer will be liable for all expenses incurred.

IV. Buyer agrees that cat/kitten will not be sold, transferred, leased or given to any other person without the express written consent of the seller. If for any reason Buyer is unable to or does not wish to keep/maintain this cat/kitten, Seller will receive first option to take him/her back into ownership accompanied by appropriate registration papers for a mutually agreed upon price not to exceed the original purchase price.

V. Purrity Persians DNA tests its breeding cats to be free from PKD, FeLv and FIV.

HEALTH GUARANTEE:
This cat/kitten is guaranteed to be of sound health upon the date of purchase. Within 10 days of sale, a comprehensive physical examination will be preformed and a health certificate will be issued by a licensed veterinarian. (At no additional cost to the Buyer) This guarantee is for a period of 72 hours from the time the cat/kitten leaves the possession of the Seller. We recommend you take the cat/kitten to a licensed veterinarian with in 72 hours upon arrival, for your own satisfaction and protection. Upon examination if the cat/kitten is found to be of "Unsound health", defined as any condition which is life threatening or incurable (It must be reported to the Seller immediately) and shall not include curable conditions or infections, such as colds, virus, bacterial or fungal skin infections or rashes. If the cat/kitten dies within the guarantee period, despite medical treatment the purchase price will be refunded only if a veterinarian certifies the cause of death as being disease or congenital defect. Trauma and neglect will void this guarantee. At the Buyers expense, it is their responsibility to provide immediate veterinary care to any cat/kitten showing signs of illness or distress. Failure to do so will render any guarantee null and void.

If the said cat/kitten is found to be in unsound health by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery or pick up, the cat/kitten shall be returned to the Seller and Buyer may request a replacement with another cat/kitten of equal value or receive a complete refund of purchase price. The Buyer may also return the cat/kitten within 6 days of the date of delivery or pick up if the cat has been certified healthy and it has not been exposed to another cat which has not been tested free of FeLv, FIV and FIP, provided the cat/kitten has received adequate and appropriate care by the new owner.

1. The cat/kitten is further guaranteed to be free from congenital defects or genetic diseases for a period of one year from date of sale. In the event the cat/kitten is found to have congenital or genetic disease that interfere with its intended purpose or requires medical treatment

It can be returned to the Seller for a replacement of equal quality.

It can be kept by the owner and the Seller will give Buyer another cat/kitten of equal value from a different line, either at the first opportunity a replacement kitten becomes available or at a time to be requested by the Buyer, also allowing Seller the reasonable length of time for a kitten to become available.

If euthanasia is considered necessary or imminent, a replacement kitten will be given. NO CAT OR KITTEN IS TO BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF THE BREEDER, EXCEPT IN THE CASE WHERE A VETERINARIAN CONSIDERS IT THE ONLY HUMANE ALTERNATIVE, OR THE GUARANTEE IS VOID. A necropsy is required to confirm a medical diagnosis in this case.

2. If a cat/kitten is diagnosed with a minor imperfection (not know at the time of sale) that requires no treatment and does not interfere with the normal function and purpose of the cat as an active pet, then no refund or replacement will be given.

3. Where a replacement is requested or where euthanasia is requested, Buyer agrees to grant full access to all veterinary records to Seller during their time of ownership. Veterinary records include but not limited to: Copies of actual examinations stating vaccinations, injections, laboratory testing, injuries, diagnosis and treatment. No refund or replacement will be given for any condition or defect caused by accident, neglect or malnutrition. Buyer is responsible to provide immediate veterinary care to any cat/kitten showing signs of illness or distress. Failure to do so will render this guarantee null and void.

ALTERING AGREEMENT (Not applicable if cat/kitten is purchased as a breeder) Buyer agrees to have the said cat/kitten ovariohysterectomized/spayed or castrated/neutered within the time frame of: Six (7) months from the date of birth for females and seven (9) months for males. Buyer will provide Seller proof of altering in the form of a dated receipt from a licensed veterinarian that includes a description of the animal, date of and procedure performed. Only after this proof is provided will the Buyer receive his/her registration papers. If no proof of altering is received by Laura K. Kofoed within thirty (30) working days of the dates stated above, the presumptive conclusion shall be that the cat/kitten is intended to be used or is being used as a breeder, and at this point, the Seller may exercise one of the following two (2) options:

1. An additional $2000.00 will become due to the seller immediately and the Buyer would be required to sign a breeding contract.

2. The Buyer will be required to surrender the "Pet" cat/kitten to the Seller, and any of it's offspring to the seller will be surrendered unconditionally. Buyer assumes all costs for shipping expenses. This agreement acknowledges that any animal purchased as a "Pet" is to be spayed or neuter and is not to be used for breeding purposes.

BREEDER AGREEMENT There are absolutely NO cloning rights on any cats.

1. The Buyer and Seller agree that a female breeder quality cat will be altered by the age of eight (8) years old. Buyer and Seller agree that a female breeder will not be bred more then twice a year, that is if she is in good health. Buyer agrees that cat(s) will not be inbred to any close relatives. Any caged cat must be housed in an enclosure no less then 4'x6', enclosures are to measure at least these dimensions or larger. Buyer agrees that immediate off spring will not be sold, transferred, leased or co-owned to/with individuals that resided within CFA Northwest Region 2, exceptions can be arranged with the seller.

2. Intact males will be used only for breeding to cat(s) that are registered or licensed to the Buyer. Any outside breeding shall be a breach of contract and will result in immediate unconditional surrendering of cat/kitten to Seller and Buyer assumes responsibility for all costs incurred. If Buyer or Seller commences any legal action as a result of this contract, Buyer agrees to be liable for all costs incurred and the place of venue for such action shall be Clark County, Washington regardless of Buyers place of residence, and agrees that any judgment obtained is enforceable within the jurisdiction that they reside in as if obtained within that jurisdiction.

SHOWING AGREEMENT A cat is being sold as show quality. We encourage you to begin showing the kitten when he/she is over 4 months of age. After the age of eight (8) months from the date of birth it will be required by the Buyer to show the cat in either CFA or TICA to obtain its Grand Championship status or equivalent. Non-adherence to this contract will result in actions as stated above in the "Breeder Agreement Clause."

SHOW/BREEDER AGREEMENT Shall include all limitations and liabilities as stated above in the "Breeder and the Show Agreement Clauses."

FERTILITY AGREEMENT The seller guarantees that this cat/kitten is capable of reproduction and will replace it with a cat/kitten of equal quality, in the sole opinion of the seller, if the eventual mating of this kitten does not produce a live kitten with in 2 years of purchase, a replacement will be provided as available. All medical costs associated with breedings are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Inability of the cat to reproduce must be documented in veterinary reports/records and presented to the seller for review. This contract is legally binding to all parties involved. It applies only to the Seller and Buyer in this transaction and is non-transferable to other parties. Signing indicates agreement to this contract. Breach of this contract will result in cancellation and repossession of the cat/kitten by the Seller without compensation. Jurisdiction of this contract will be the municipality of the Seller's residence at the time of a dispute.

This contract is legally binding to all parties involved. It applies only to the Buyer and Seller in this transaction and is not transferable to any other person. When a cat/kitten is reserved by a deposit, the sum shall be at least 10% of the sale price. This contract shall be signed by the Buyer and returned to the Seller before ________/________/________. All deposits/holding fees are non-refundable.
