SUMMER CAMPS 2008

Hello and welcome to our 8th summer of theatre camps in West Seattle! We are offering more two-week camps this summer -- taking more time to develop a play, allowing students to absorb and enjoy. All shows are done Stage Struck Style - meaning we pull selected songs and scenes and use multiple casts. Repeat camps always have something new in them! We look forward to seeing our regulars and meeting our new performers!'

Please check out our new web pages. You may pay for camps through PayPal or personal check or money order. If you are paying with a check or money order, DOWNLOAD THE PDF REGISTRATION FORM TO THE RIGHT.

stage struck seattle kids theater theatreLast summer, Seattle Metropolitan Magazine named Stage Struck Best of the City Theatre Camp, in their July 2007 issue!!

Here's what the article said:

Founder Laura Drake, who appeared in major films such as Ghost, popular TV shows including L.A. Law, and several theatre productions across the nation, brings together as all-star cast of theater veterans including award-winning actress Karen Kay Cody to show pint-size stars why there is no business like show business. At Stage Struck theater camps, teens and tykes perform Grease, Annie, The Wiz of Oz, and other childhood favorites using multiple casts so everyone gets a turn to be the leading lady or man.

Below are photos from last year's camps. Please wait for them to load. Thanks!

What Is Stage Struck?

Stage Struck is a Seattle-based theatre program for young people ages 6-18. It was started in the spring of 2001 by Laura Drake, with founding teaching partners Karen Kay Cody and Mark Anders.

Our goal is to build self-confidence, develop rhythm and grace, teach connection to the voice and body, provide opportunities for cooperation amoung peers, and share an historical understanding of the arts. With our original revues, all participants get a chance to perform and have fun. Our teachers are professional veteran performers, and several are state-certificated educators.

Stage Struck is sponsored by the Allied Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization.
