Searching Through Lists

A function that searches through lists (arrays) requires five parameters:
  1. The array containing the list to be searched (IN)
  2. The length of the list (IN)
  3. The item being searched for (IN)
  4. A flag telling whether or not the search was successful (OUT)
  5. The index indicating where the item was located, if it was found (OUT)
Later, we will see that classes will help us hide much of the details exposed in the parameters.
