Oregon Math Leaders
Tooling Up to Teach Deeper
Dates: August 1-3, 2010
The Oregon Math Leaders Conference is an annual gathering of math leaders with a common focus: improving math instruction in Oregon. With the new standards focusing on teaching deeper, instead of more, teachers need tools to help them achieve depth. OML this summer will focus on tools to increase cognitive demand, deepen student thinking, and analyze teaching. The Oregon Math Leaders Conference will be held August 1-3, 2010 at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.
Consider yourself to be a Math Leader if:
Math Leaders are nominated by their colleagues, OCTM area representatives, or themselves, as space permits, based on their interest and participation in mathematics education in their community, school district, or grade level. Nominate someone who reaches out and helps other teachers to be better math teachers. Nominate yourself. Please print out the nomination form and send it to:
