The Public Power Council (PPC) is a voice for consumer-owned electric utilities in the Northwest. 

Since 1966, we have been representing the interests of municipal utilities, public and people's utility districts, and rural electric cooperatives.

arrow 08/31/2009: "Collaborating for Salmon" - A joint Op Ed by Scott Corwin, Executive Director of the Public Power Council, and John Saven, Chief Operating Officer of Northwest Requirements Utilities, in support of the 2008 Biological Opinion and taking on claims that removal of the four Lower Snake River dams is the only way to protect ESA-listed salmon is published by the Oregonian and available for viewing on it's web page.
