Mexican casserole with tortillas and hamburger

Ingredients
3/4 - 1 lb. hamburger
1/2 onion, chopped
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 can  green chiles (optional)
1 small can tomatoe sauce
6 flour tortillas
grated cheddar cheese

Directions
Brown hamburger and onion.  Add chile powder, tomato sauce and
chiles.  Mix well.  In a greased 8 X 8 pan, alternate layers:  2 tortillas,
meat mixture, and cheese.  Makes 3 layers.  Pour 1/2 cup water over
all.  Cover and bake at 350 for 30 - 40 minutes.
