Alcatel-Lucent

Customer Technical Advocate, MetroPCS and Qwest Wireless – November, 2000 to Present: Work across multiple Lucent organizations to manage and drive customer technical issues to closure. Also provide technical support to customers for wireless switching capacity planning, as well as customer retrofit process training and scheduling, retrofit support, trouble ticket tracking, and outage support. Member of core Lucent CTA team of MSC subject matter experts.

US West Wireless/Qwest Wireless

TEC 55 - Senior Member Technical Staff - Qwest Wireless  - NOVEMBER, 1999 to OCTOBER, 2000: Qwest Wireless ATAC (Advanced Technical Assistance Center) Tier 3 technical support for Lucent MSC, Minicells and Flexent cells; Tier 3 support for Lucent and Ericsson retrofits; Northwest market lead; Lead engineer and project manager for all switching software, cellsite and routing translations and hardware deployment activities in the Lucent Markets with secondary responsibility for Nortel/Ericsson markets; subject matter expert for Lucent Flexent products.

Switch Engineer - US West Wireless  - APRIL, 1997 to NOVEMBER, 1999: Lead Switch Engineer Portland, OR Market for Lucent MSC preparation before launch; Responsible for coordination and scheduling telco wireline and wireless personnel, contractors and vendors during installation of Lucent Autoplex MSC and common systems area; Lead engineer responsible for integration testing of the Lucent Autoplex MSC; Scheduled RBOC delivery and testing of T1 and T3 facilities; managed vendor testing and turnup of cellsites; Scheduled delivery and testing of SS7 circuits from STP providers as well as cross connecting and turnup of SS7 circuits; Installed crossconnects for inter-office T1 facilities; Tested and turned up voice trunks to local, long distance and operator services offices; Maintained T1 facilities to cell sites before launch; Managed activities for cellsite technicians and vendor for pre-launch diagnostic maintenance of cellsites; Worked with RF Engineers in optimizing RF performance.

Lead engineer and project coordinator during MSC preparation for Lucent Technologies’ Flexent FOA including: conversion of PSU DF1's to DF2's; addition of PH4's; retrofit from OMP to HA-OMP; addition and commissioning of AP’s and EIN's; FOA upgrade to ECP13 with several FOA BWM's; turn up and testing of Flexent Microcells.

Project coordinator during installation and launch of Nortel/Ericsson MSC for launch of Eugene, OR. US West Installation

Central Office Equipment Installation Technician - AUGUST, 1993 to APRIL 1997: Installed Central Office equipment in US West equipment offices. Worked on installation of a new DC power plant and an augment to another DC power system. Installed T1, T3 and fiber facilities system. Worked on a new install of a 5ESS, finishing the project as project in-charge.
In-charge installer for installation project of new hardware augments to several 5ESS switches. Worked on installation of new hardware in a DMS10 switch, and a new install of a DMS100 switch.

US West Communications/Pacific Northwest Bell
