Project Charter

Project Charter Purpose

This Charter has been developed by the Public Safety Technology Wireless Sub-Committee which consists of the representatives from the Snohomish County Police and Fire Chief’s Associations, the Snohomish County Emergency Radio System (SERS), the E-9-1-1 Communications Centers (SNOPAC, SNOCOM and Marysville), Snohomish County Department of Information Services, and the Snohomish County PUD. This sub-committee was developed under the Public Safety Technology Committee for the sole purpose of directing this project and its membership does not reflector limit other agency participation.

It:

  • Establishes an initial framework for project governance and work activities;
  • States the guiding principles under which the project tasks are initiated, developed and managed.
  • Describes the initial intent of the project partners;
  • Sets the project scope – functionally and geographically;
  • Defines the initial project goals, thus guiding the initial project scope;
  • Establish objectives for achieving the strategic intent;
  • Identifies the partner organizations and the representatives;
  • Represents an initial agreement between the project partners per the attached Resolution; and
  • Provided the foundation for further formalized agreements between partners.

Vision Statement

It is the vision of the Public Safety Technology Wireless Sub-Committee that;

“All public safety incidents are managed without data communications constrains.”
