1 Apr	8110 8111	Embarked two Army snipers for a night patrol. At 2045H at XS490694, the snipers killed 5 and one was killed by PBR 40MM. Casualties: Friendly - None Enemy - 6 KIA (BC)
1 Apr	8112 8113	While on routine night patrol, came under heavy B-40 and A/W fire from XS660588. PBR 8113 received one B-40 hit on the forward starboard side combing and another B-40 bounced off the bow. Both PBR's returned fire and cleared the kill zone. After assessing the damage, another firing run was made with negative return fire and artillery was directed into the ambush site. Casualties: Friendly - None Enemy - Unknown
2 Apr	8108 8109	Recieved one wounded VC from VN RAG units and medivaced to Tan An.
2 Apr	8112 8113	Detained 4 curfew violators. Turned over to VN authorities Tan An.
3 Apr	8108 8109	Spotted two men in restricted area at XS415774. Men evaded and were taken under fire. Casualties: Friendly - None Enemy - 1 KIA (PROB)
5 Apr	8110 8111 8112 8113	Recieved request to extract 24 troops who were in contact with unknown size VC force at XS485718. Upon approaching area, recieved A/W and small arms fire. Returned M-60 fire. Extracted troops under fire and returned them to base. Casualties: Friendly - None Enemy - Unknown
5 Apr	8114 8115	While on routine night patrol came under heavy B-40 and A/W fire at XS405775. One B-40 hit PBR 8114 causing serious leg wounds to two men and minor wounds to three others. Fire was returned and the 2 PBR's cleared the kill zone and proceeded north to await Dust Off. PBR's 8110 and 8111 proceeded to scene to assist. Two men dusted off to Saigon and all 4 boats returned to Tan An. Casualties: Friendly - 5 WIA Enemy - Unknown
6 Apr	8108 8109	Inserted, supported and extracted 7 LRRP's at XS488718. Negative contact.
8 Apr		River Division 515 relieved from Operation Giant Slingshot by River Division 573. All Boats and crews proceeded to Nha Be to prepare to on-load USS JENNINGS COUNTY (LST846)
10 Apr		USS JENNINGS COUNTY arrived Nha Be. On loaded 10 PBR's and all 515 personnel and departed for lower Bassac.
11 Apr		Arrived vicinity Dung Island on Bassac River and off loaded 8 PBR's.
12 Apr		All crews conducted four hour familiarization patrol.
14 Apr	8112 8113	Played 4 hours Psyops tapes.
14 Apr	8114 8115	Detained 2 VN males for mutilated ID cards. Turned over to VN authorities CG-36.
15 Apr	8110 8111	Picked up three Hoi Chanhs who had one SKS and two U.S. frag. grenades. Turned over to VN authorities CG-36.
16 Apr	8110 8111	Conducted MEDCAP at Long Thoi. Treated 50 people.
16 Apr	8114 8115	Recieved intelligence concerning 100 VC waiting to cross at XR276670. Placed intermittent H&I fire into area throughout night.
17 Apr	8108 8109	Detained one male VN for not having ID. Turned over to VN authorities CG-36.
17 Apr	8106 8107	Detained three male VN's for not having ID. Turned over to VN authorities CG-36. Later spotted VC flag on Dung Island and place H&I fire into area.
17 Apr	8110 8111	Played 4 hours Psyops tapes.
