9 Dec	108 109	Blew one tunnel complex. Received 6 rds. sniper fire. Returned fire with M-16 and firing ceased.
9 Dec	114 115	Detected sampan about 0300. Contacted, evaded, and 25 rds. of 40MM were fired. Negative results.
10 Dec	111 112	Detected camoflauged sampan and destroyed same.
10 Dec	106 107	Inserted Army LRRP's. Negative contact.
11 Dec	110 113	Embarked 2 ABC newsmen for orientation patrol. Patrol received heavy automatic weapons and B-40 rocket fire from 3 firing positions while transiting the Thua Canal. PBR 110 had both engines knocked out of commission by a heavy caliber slug. PBR 8113 continued suppression fire and proceeded to tow 8110 out of the kill zone. Army LHFT placed strike on suspected enemy firing positions. Scrambled 2 Riv Div 534 PBR's and proceeded to scene to set up blocking force for VN troops. VN troops swept the area with negative results.
11 Dec	108 109	Received sniper fire at north end of Thu Thua Canal.
12 Dec	114	Escorted NBC newsmen on indoctrination patrol.
12 Dec	106 107 108 110	Inserted Army Engineers, who blew 8 bunkers. Also destroyed 6 mortor rounds.
15 Dec		YRBM-18 departed Tan An. Crews commenced living on PBR's.
17 Dec	112 ASPB	Destroyed 2 bunkers and one camoflauged sampan.
19 Dec		Received one Ammi Pontoon to construct living quarters on.
19 Dec	106 107	Attacked by 2 command detonated water mines. Negative casualties.
20 Dec	108 109	Received 3 B-40 rockets and A/W fire. Fire was suppressed. Negative casualties.
20 Dec	110 111	Blew one bunker.
20 Dec	106 107	Received 2 B-40 rounds from 3 sampans. Fire returned with 3 sampans destroyed (probable).
21 Dec	112 113	Detected one evading sampan with 2 male occupants. Suspects beached sampan anad were taken under fire when they evaded into under brush. Results: 2 KIA (probable); one captured sampan.
22 Dec	112 113	Destroyed 13 bunkers and 2 huts. One hut contained food and equipment for 8 men which was destroyed. During bunker blowing, one VC tried to evade but was shot and was observed to be bleeding severely as he evaded into brush. Destroyed evadees sampan. Results: 13 bunkers, 2 huts, one sampan and personal gear destroyed. 1 VC WIA and various personal items captured.
22 Dec	108 109	Received intelligence of intended VC ambush on PBR's. Investigated suspected area with negative results.
22 Dec	110 111	Observed attack on Thu Thua outpost. Set up blocking force and tried to determine source of fire. Negative results.
23 Dec	108 109	Called in artillery on bunker complex. 3 bunkers were destroyed and 2 secondary explosions observed.
23 Dec		Living accomodations on Ammi Pontoon completed.
26 Dec	110 111	Destroyed 2 sampans found in restricted area.
27 Dec	110 111	Destroyed 2 bunkers 2 sampans which were spotted by FAC.
27 Dec	110 111	Reconned VC Island by fire. Received automatic weapons fire but fire was suppressed with no casualties. 2 USN were wounded when after .50 cal. exploded.
28 Dec	108 109	Observed 20 persons, 2 with weapons evade into brush. Personnel were taken under fire. U. S. Army helos and 2 USAF jets put strike into area. 50 LRRP's inserted by helo and extracted by PBR's. Negative results.
30 Dec	114 115	Observed sampan evade into bank. Man with carbine evaded into brush and was taken under fire. Captured one sampan.
30 Dec	110 111	Observed one sampan evade into populated area. Unable to take under fire but captured one sampan and personal gear.
31 Dec	106 107 110 111	Inserted and extracted 73 VN troops. Negative results.
31 Dec	112 113	Captured camoflauged sampan. Brought in another sampan found adrift. Medevaced 2 VN children who were wounded by VC mine to Tan An.
31 Dec	110 111	Took evading sampan under fire. One VC KIA.
