Rave Reviews!!!!

I finished reading your book last night. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the experience of sharing in your feelings about your quilting life and your quilting friends.  It is a lovely tribute to them and all they mean to you.  I appreciate the way you got the message across without gushing or over explaining.  They must feel so honored to be such a special part of your book. Thank you again for sharing it with us. Deanette

Hey, I read your book today. You are really talented! I read it from cover to cover while I should have been writing today. You have a very natural writing style, and really kept my interest. You need to start thinking about submitting to publishing houses so you can make the big bucks.

  About the Author
Linda Steenbergen (aka Steenie) grew up in Spokane, Washington, where she learned to sew from her mother. While attending Washington State University, she received her first sewing machine.
After graduation, Linda began teaching third grade at Lake Shore School in Vancouver, WA. The following year she married George Johnson (aka Woody).
Summers were spent catching up on sewing projects until the purchase of a computer which took more time. Then in 1992, Linda took her first quilting class. Other crafts got put away, replaced by quilting.
That same year, Linda began writing stories along with her fourth and fifth graders. “I read so many journal entries from our Oregon Trail simulation, that I just had to put my thoughts into a story.”

She wrote several small books during those last years of teaching. She taught all 30 years at Lake Shore School.
After retiring, Linda had time to finish projects. She used photos from school to make her first photo memory quilt. From that time, she started her Fotos on Fabric business where she prints photos for customers as well as teaches classes.
Linda has also served Clark County Quilters as President and Secretary. She began a weekly small quilting group, Blessed Piecemakers, at her church. She also belongs to the Patchwork of Friends small group which meets monthly in homes.

  Printing Fotos onto Fabric
Have you seen quilts with photos on them and thought you’d like to do that sometime? Why not make a fabric page of your scrapbook for a wall hanging? How about truly personalized labels for your precious projects?
Deciding which photos to use is usually the most difficult part of the process. You may want to work from a theme: family vacation, wedding, anniversary, 40th birthday, etc. Then you can print the photos onto fabric yourself, or have Linda do it for you!
