This table is a a very incomplete list of the countries in which Make Money Fast
and Chain Letter schemes are known to be illegal (note: this applies only to Chain Letters which purport to make the perpetrator money or other gain - plain old chain letters such as the ones purporting to be bad luck if you don't pass them on, etc., are often times still legal, although still a huge nuisance.)

Criteria for inclusion on this list is a legal pointer,
or two or more individual reports that MMF is illegal in that country

§ 16. Luck chains and similar affairs
It is illegal to create or participate in pyramid games, luck chains,, chain businesses or similar schemes wherein money or other valuables are gradually exchanged within an indefinite circuit of persons.

§ 17. Punishment
Whoever willfully or by neglect breaks requirements given in this law, or prescriptions or requirements given by the authority of the law, is punished with fines or prison up to three months. Participation is punished in the same way. Attempt is punished the same as completed
crime.

Singapore Reports of such offences can be lodged with the Police at the Commercial Crime Division,CID. The law can be found in the Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (prohibition ) Act (Chapter 190) a copy of which can be bought from the SNP Corporation Ltd 303 Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore 347692 and 8 Shenton Way # B1-07, Temasek Tower Singapore 068811.
