What and Where is Pine Hollow

Pine Hollow is a community that was developed by Mr. & Mrs. Irl Davis around a man made reservoir in North Central Oregon.  The reservoir was created by the Army Corp. of Engineers and is overseen by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wild Life.   The purpose of the reservoir is to provide irrigation water for near by farmers and ranchers and is stocked with Bass, and Trout, by the Dept. of Fish and Wild Life for recreational fishing.  The area has an abundance of Deer that roam the properties and the lake is home to some year round Canadian Geese as well as larger flocks during migration season.

The area around the reservoir boundaries was subdivided in various size parcels and sold as recreational property.   The first residents had moved onto their property in the early 1970's before the reservoir was finished and the lake was filled with water.  The community now has approx. 250 year round residents and during the summer months, weekends, and holidays  that population figure can grow to several thousand.

The community has a well staffed Volunteer Fire Dept. that serves Pine Hollow as well as the surrounding community.   The Fire Dept. also has a well trained and certified First Responder Team to respond to the communities emergency medical needs.

Also within the Pine Hollow boundary is a newly developed 9 hole golf course.  This course has been written up on several occasions for its 2nd Hole which as been properly named " The Hole From Hell ".
