BOOMERANG
Bobcat
Boomerang was nine weeks old when he found his way to 'Wild Ones'. He started his life precariously, being rejected by his mother. He had been plagued with diarrhea his entire short existence which resulted in a severe calcium deficiency.

A broken back almost ended his life at a tender young age, but with the good veterinary care, supplementation with the proper type of calcium, and some extreme measures of care in his new home, Boomerang not only survived, but amazed us all by fully recovering beyond all expectations. There is no hint of the partial paralysis of his hind quarters, and no limp that was expected to remain. Today, Boomerang is one of the most physically active cats at the facility.
Boomerang has also been the most active cat in the off-site educational programs. He has visited schools, churches, wildlife programs, and was a regular visitor at the senior citizens wildlife art class where he would pose for photos and then kiss all the ladies (his favorite part). Although Boomerang has retired from off-site educational programs, he still enjoys an occasional outing like his visit to the fourth grade class at Silver Star Elementary School.
